Born and raised in Edmonton, Chris McGinnis has spent more than two decades building a hands-on career in construction and interior finishing. After moving to British Columbia in 2000 to finish school and begin his trades career in interior finishing and millwork, he returned to the Edmonton area in 2010 to expand his expertise across multiple trades, including flooring, framing, drywall, roofing, painting, and full-scale home renovations.

In 2018, Chris discovered epoxy and found the perfect blend of creativity, precision, and sence of accomplishment. Since then, he has dedicated himself to mastering the craft and building what would become Slabcoat, a locally owned company focused on high-quality epoxy and finishing solutions. Today, Chris proudly lives and works in St. Albert, bringing experience, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship to every project.
